How to use Mail Merge step by step guide
Hello,
Today I'm going to show you how to use mail merge step by step.
The video is at the bottom of the blog if you would like to watch along.
This guide is easy for you to follow along with the screenshots and words to complete the work you need without the hassle.
This blog is for experienced IT users within Northern Ireland within an age range between 25–40-year-olds.
I'm going to be working on a premade letter on Word to show you how Mail Merge works.
Let's begin...
You want to open up your word document.
Go to mailings at the top
right. Click on Start Mail Merge.
Step Two:
Once you have opened Start Mail Merge click on Step-by-Step
Mail Merge Wizard.
Step Three:
The document type you want to click
on is Letters.
Step Four:
After Document type, for select starting document you want to click on use the current
document.
Step 5:
Select use an existing list. Once you’ve done that
click on browse at the bottom this will open your folders select the
spreadsheet you want to use for your letter.
Step 6:
Your selected spreadsheet will pop up on the Select
Table click the one you wanted and then click ok. When you clicked okay your
chosen Mail Merge Recipients will pop up in a table for you to preview. Click
ok to continue...
Step 7:
Write Your Letter includes 4 different parts to it.
The one you want to use is Address
Block, Donation amount and Number of tickets which automatically adds those fields to your letter.
Step 8:
Here is what the field should look like before previewing the letter.
These fields will add the chosen address, tickets and donation automatically to the word document saving you the time typing out one by one.

well-made and useful guide thanks for the information.
ReplyDeleteimpressive design, information is very good and detailed. a very useful blog
ReplyDeleteI found this mail merge blog very useful and directive. I think there could be one thing that could improve on and that's add circles or at least highlight of what you're talking about. Sean Aiken
